The Battle of Kli'aar was one of the three diversion attacks undertook by the Rebel Alliance navy in order to aid the main fleet during the evacuation of Yavin 4. Six months after the Battle of Yavin, three Mon Calamari fleet attacked the Imperial forces at three locations of the Blockade of Yavin: Kli'aar, Pinoora and the Vallusk Cluster.[2] However, Admiral Amise Griff, who was in charge of the blockade, was not fooled by the attacks, and refused to send additional ships to aid his forces under fire.[3] Griff then cut the Alliance evacuation route in the Tertiary Feswe system but the Rebels eventually managed to escape at Feswe Prime.[2]
