A battle took place^[1] during the second year^[2][3] of the Clone Wars when the Confederacy of Independent Systems mounted an effort to capture the planet Lanos from the Galactic Republic, sending battle droid detachments to fight there. The fight itself was used as propaganda by the Separatist HoloNet news.^[1]
