The Battle of Nod Kartha took place prior to the Battle of Geonosis, occurring when Nym's Lok Revenants and the Mere Resistance staged an assault on the orbital defenses surrounding Nod Kartha in an attempt to locate and compromise a Trihexalon production facility on the planet's surface.

Nym's forces emerged from hyperspace in the Karthakk system to confront the planetary defense guns arrayed above Nod Kartha. The allies launched their assault, but within moments the cruiser Kethor was critically damaged by a blast from one of the defense guns. A nearby C-9979 landing craft deployed waves of droid bombers to slow the approaching strike force, while Vulture droid starfighters engaged the Revenants and Jedi Master Adi Gallia in her Delta-7 starfighter.
Nym's forces were able to protect Kethor's sister ship, Tritus, though Kethor itself was too badly damaged, and Captain Orsai made a suicide run on one of the shield generators protecting the defense guns, destroying it and Kethor in the process. Although one generator had been destroyed, matters took a turn for the worse for Nym's forces with the appearance of the Sabaoth Squadron, Cavik Toth's mercenary fleet. Sabaoth Frigates and starfighters joined the fray, as did the bounty hunter Jango Fett, on an independent mission to capture Reti.
The battle descended into chaos, though amid it all, Adi Gallia and the Revenant fighters managed to disable the final shield generator, and the defense guns were summarily destroyed. With the way clear, Nym's forces raced for the surface, despite the loss of Reti, who had been forced into a wild hyperspace jump to evade Fett.
