The Raid on Saarn took place at the beginning of the Thrawn campaign.

The planet Saarn was a remote surveillance outpost for the New Republic. The Imperial I-class Star Destroyer Stormhawk executed a hit-and-fade attack on Saarn, wiping out New Republic personnel. Grand Admiral Thrawn's forces set up a listening post there to protect the movement of the Imperial Navy.^[2]
