A battle took place on the planet Selonia^[1] around the year 21 BBY^[2][3] during the Clone Wars. The Confederacy of Independent Systems was able to defeat the forces of the Galactic Republic and win the battle. The Republic's defeat at Selonia, together with other losses, led Jedi Grand Master Yoda to believe that the Republic would need another victory.^[1]

The battle was mentioned in The Clone Wars: Wild Space, a novel in the The Clone Wars novel series. Wild Space was written by Karen Miller and published in 2008.^[1]
