The Battle of Skorrupon took place during the height of the Galactic Civil War.
Skorrupon held a private retreat reserved for High Inquisitor Volytar. Having discovered the Jedi Knight Sia-Lan Wezz on the planet, Volytar became determined to subjugate the entire planet and root out the rogue Jedi.
The ensuing battle swept over most of the planet, in a brief but violent period. The Jedi was defeated and killed by Volytar and his forces, and the High Inquisitor gained full control over Skorrupon itself.

The aforementioned "Jedi Knight" is none other than Sia-Lan Wezz. Wezz's death during the Battle of Skorrupon was established in Galactic Campaign Guide—later however, Star Wars: Purge established that she was killed by Darth Vader shortly after the formation of the Galactic Empire. Many fan explanations have arisen from this discrepancy, though no official retcon has been established as yet. Leland Chee has stated the possibility that Galactic Campaign Guide was only providing a hypothetical situation regarding the Skorrupon death, and might get noted in the Holocron Continuity Database as "One report indicated that Sia-Lan Wezz had been lost at the Battle of Skorrupon". In any case, it appears that her death at the hands of Darth Vader in Star Wars: Purge is her "official" death, though future material might prove otherwise.
