The Battle of Tar Morden took place on the planet Tar Morden towards the end of the Clone Wars.

During the battle, Republic forces captured tens of thousands of Techno Union-built LM-432 crab droids from a factory.

The captured droids were later used for live fire training sessions in the Imperial Academy. These droids were among the inspirations for the later Imperial MT-AT walker.
