The battle

Unbeknownst to the colonists, General Grievous and Count Dooku ordered the detonation of the planet's mining charges, as part of a plan to destroy the entire surface of the world and the Republic forces there with it. However, both the Viidaav and the Republic forces discerned the plot, and an ARC trooper was able to terminate the automated destruct command center, thus saving the planet and the Republic's victory. By the end of the battle, only a few hundred thousand Viidaav were left alive.
