The Battle of Columus was a battle in the Final Imperial Push, a desperate attempt by the Moff Council and the replacement warlords to turn the tide in the Galactic Civil War.

At the same time as the Imperial Remnant under Gilad Pellaeon was seeking to expand into the Inner Rim at the Battle of Champala, the replacement warlords under Daala were attempting to break out of the Deep Core. However, they were unable to stay unified, and Garm Bel Iblis led the New Republic Fourth Fleet in a series of perimeter campaigns that pushed back their territory.

Admiral Daala attacked the New Republic Fourth Fleet at Columus.^[1] Bel Iblis tried to use a pair of CC-7700 frigates (equipped with gravity well projectors) to capture Daala onboard her command ship, Scylla. However, Daala had the Scylla ram the forward CC-7700, destroying it and allowing her to escape into hyperspace.

The Scylla escaped by retreating into a blind hyperspace jump,^[1] and Daala wasn't heard from again for at least twenty years.
