The Battle over Far Thunder was a minor battle in the Yuuzhan Vong War. After the Second Battle of Obroa-skai, the damaged New Republic ship Far Thunder was allowed to limp back to the staging area at Kashyyyk with minimal assistance. En route, it was intercepted by Yuuzhan Vong fighters and attacked. A small relief force of New Republic starfighters drove them off, although the ship had to be scuttled.
