Bazarre

It was located in the Cademimu sector of the Outer Rim Territories.

Characteristics

The station itself was the size of a small city, and accommodated hundreds of merchant kiosks and trading posts contained within an expansive arcade. Although Bazarre welcomed business interests of almost any variety, it specialized as a place where consumers could engage in illegal activity safely from the prying eyes of the Galactic Empire.

History

Two of the more prolific services to be found at Bazarre were the sale of black market Imperial fighter craft parts and a slave ring circuit. Shortly after the Battle of Hoth, Luke Skywalker and Lando Calrissian arrived on Bazarre to negotiate the sale of four disabled Imperial TIE Fighters from Orion Ferret. Ferret gave the Rebels the location of the TIE Fighters, but double-crossed them when he attempted to sabotage their shuttlecraft. Chewbacca the Wookiee learned of Ferret’s deception and chased him all throughout the promenade of the Bazarre marketplace. Its massive Trade Shows were frequented by S'kytri who dramatized Initiation Hunts and sold trinkets from Skye.
