The beam splitter was a firing chamber customization for many blaster weapons that significantly broadened the energy beam, on a greater scale than the amplifying chamber, resulting in increased damage. The Mark I, II, and III versions in turn allowed for considerable boosts in the potential for injury from the plasma energy.
