Bela Whinn was a female Human Lieutenant in the Republic Military active during the Cold War. In 3643 BBY, she was stationed aboard the starship Carida when it was attacked by the Sith. After the attack, she called on for help for the injured Jedi Knight Laranna Fain. When Fain, overcome by the Dark Plague, attacked her own forces, Whinn requested help from the Jedi Order, and received it from a Jedi Consular.
