The fortress of Belia Darzu was an abandoned stronghold on the planet Tython, once housed by the ancient Shi'ido changeling Dark Lord of the Sith, Belia Darzu. From here, Darzu would perform her alchemical experiments. Her greatest experiments included transforming metal machinery into organic beings. These technobeasts, as they were called, resided in Darzu's fortress long after her death. In 990 BBY, Darth Bane traveled to Tython in search of the fortress, after receiving information that the secret of creating Holocrons could be found there. Bane found Darzu's own holocron within a room inside the temple. He had to battle Darzu's ancient technobeasts before he was able to remove the device, and exit the temple.
