[edit] Biography
During the course of his career as a mercenary, due to the many deaths he had caused—although some of them were the result of inexperienced challengers—Bendak found himself a wanted man. A large bounty was placed on his head, and he fled to the remote world of Taris.
Bendak often fought in the gladiator arena owned by Ajuur the Hutt, but only when an opponent had beaten all the rest of Ajuur's gladiators, because only then would he or she be an interesting challenge to Starkiller. A legend on Taris, Bendak retired from the sport of dueling when death matches were banned, simply because he thought non-death matches were boring and unchallenging. It is probable that, because of the Mandalorian code of values, he thought that only death matches were honorable. When Revan became the dueling champion of Taris, however, Bendak came out of retirement, wanting to duel Revan in a death match.
Revan however refused. Bendak most likely died when Taris was razed by Darth Malak's fleet.
[edit] Behind the scenes
Bendak's canonical fate is unknown: assuming that the player picks the light side choice for this scenario, Bendak is not killed by Revan (as dueling with him gives dark side points). If, however, the player picks the dark side choice for the scenario, Revan has the possibility to kill Starkiller. In this case, Revan obtains Dark Side points and his blaster is given to Revan by Ajuur after his death and defeat. Revan could also get the bounty on Bendak's head from Zax in the Lower City. However, even if Revan didn't kill Bendak, it is assumed that he died in the subsequent destruction of the planet.
Bendak's last name is likely based on the original last name for Luke Skywalker.
