Bequin Fobas was a Nimbanel attorney, and was considered famous in the years before the onset of the Clone Wars. Like many other members of his species, Fobas worked for a Hutt, in his case, the crime lord Zorba Desilijic Tiure. In 22 BBY, Zorba was convicted of illegally mining ulikuo gemstones, which were prized for their aesthetic, industrial, and cultural value, on the Outer Rim planet Kip. Fobas attempted to appeal the decision, but the Kip magistrate told him Kip had no appeal process.^[1]

Bequin Fobas received a brief mention in the in-universe HoloNet News article Zorba the Hutt Sentenced to 45 Years. The story is part of Vol. 531 #48, which was released on March 21, 2002.
