"Sid's network of salesmen and vendors are under instructions to supply him with any tidbits of "interesting" information they might come across."
―Airen Cracken[src]

Berren Sid Té was a human Rebel Alliance operative who was a member of Sleeper Cell V-16. Sid grew up an orphan in Fabrillan city on the planet Malthor but was able to build out a large vending empire. When he joined the Alliance he turned his network of vendors into an information network that supplied vital intel to the Rebel Alliance around 0 BBY.

Barren Sid Té, or Sid, was born on the planet Malthor. He started out as a street urchin but through hard work and ingenuity he worked first to being a street vendor and then eventually created the first vending empire in Fabrillan city. His door-to-door sales and street hawking made him thousands of credits a month, but Sid stuck to the streets, working hard and learning more about Fabrillan and the people in it.

He realized how the Empire stifled individuality and enterprise and that Fabrillan, being a center of trade, would be an objective for the Galactic Empire eventually. He decided to do something about it. His street vendors continued gathering credits, but they also gathered information for Sid and the Alliance.

During the Galactic Civil War Sid set up an intelligence network and joined rebel operative cell Sleeper Cell V-16. His network of vendors and suppliers became a vital intelligence source as they traded deals for gossip with merchants all around the city. Because of his contacts Sid was able to learn the identity of two other cell members: Reginna Bel Typolla and Spek-Man. When Rebel agents need help in Fabrillan they go to Sid who passed word out to the rest of V-16 to provide whatever aid is necessary.[1]

Personality and traitsEdit

Sid is a human male from Malthor. He was a hard worker and long-term visions that allowed him to build a financial empire out of nothing. He is clever enough to keep his information network in the dark. They believe that he is just a slightly shady individual who has a fetish to know everything that is going on within 'his city'. He rewards information retrieved in a random fashon so as to disguise his true intentions.[1]

Skills and abilitiesEdit

A smooth operator and skilled businessman, Sid has carved a niche into the fabric of Fabrillan. He knows the in's and out's of the city very well and combined with his expert bargaining skills he has established himself as the premier street vendor in the city.[1]

Sid has a portable vending cart filled with miscellaneous goods to be sold. He also has a password-protected datapad and access to several thousand credits at a moment's notice.[1]

Behind the scenesEdit

Berren Sid Té was designed by Ted Stark for Cracken's Rebel Operatives, a supplement for the Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game that was published by West End Games in 1994. He was illustrated by Brian Schomburg.
