Bestrum algae

Bestrum algae was an aquatic species of algae native to the planet Baralou. It was harvested with sealed aquapods and processed into food. The only harvesting plant on the planet, Aqualis Base, was actually a front for the Rebel Alliance, which was supplied with many foodstuffs made from the algae.
