Betha II was a barren, dry low-gravity planet covered in yellow-orange rock with very little atmospheric moisture. The planet was located in the Betha system in Corva sector, at the midpoint of the Daranc Run.
History

It was originally a more hospitable world with more atmospheric moisture, colonized by the Republic wherein it became a thriving port world. Because the planet dried up, it was abandoned. Betha II was resettled by smugglers millennia later, about 20 BBY. Since its surface was often swept dry by dust storms or sandstorms, the caves and canyons of the planet were expanded and connected with tunnels for subterranean habitation by the smugglers. The planet was discovered by New Republic Intelligence to be the headquarters of the Kaarenth Dissension.
