The Black Hole of Nakat was a black hole, presumably near Nakat.

A common phrase was "trapped between the Black Hole of Nakat and the Magataran Maelstrom."

The phrase alludes to the scene in The Odyssey, where Odysseus has to navigate between two horrible fates in the Strait of Messina, the whirlpool Charybdis or the monster Scylla, forming the proverb 'Between Scylla and Charybdis'.
