Black Tongue was a Whiphid crimelord.
Shortly after the Battle of Yavin, Black Tongue attempted to extort millions of credits from Jabba the Hutt by ransoming Grubba, a nephew of Jabba. Han Solo happened upon Grubba on Faldos and took the young Hutt back to Tatooine in the hopes of lessening his debt to Jabba. When Jabba discovered Black Tongue was responsible for the kidnapping, he had him captured and ostensibly killed.
