Black Wing Squadron was one of the TIE/ln starfighter squadrons assigned to the Imperial Star Destroyer Chimaera prior to and after the Battle of Endor. At the time of the Thrawn campaign it was led by Lieutenant Creb. Creb secretly based the unit's command structure on that of Rogue Squadron, who he hoped to one day engage in starfighter combat.
