"That’s a reputation to be proud of, but not a pleasant one to earn—particularly when the reward is even worse assignments down the line. You’re not wrong to think High Command sees what you’ve been through and sends you back for more. No one deserved to be sent to Praktin or Blacktar Cyst."
―Philap Bygar commends members of the Sixty-First for surviving Blacktar Cyst[src]

Blacktar Cyst was a world that the Alliance to Restore the Republic's Sixty-First Mobile Infantry deployed to during the Galactic Civil War against the Galactic Empire, despite Philap Bygar of Alliance High Command believing no one truly deserved to be sent to the world. While fighting on the world, the company's Captain Micha Evon began a long lasting debate with Sergeant Hazram Namir about how the sergeant underestimated his men. Namir also lost an argument with his squadmate Brand about whether the captain was a genius or not. Pol Andrissus, another member of Namir's squad, was wounded by shrapnel on Blactar Cyst which heavily scarred his face and left him with a permeant stutter.[1]

Behind the scenes

Blacktar Cyst was first mentioned in the novel Battlefront: Twilight Company, which was written by Alexander Freed and released in 2015.
