The Blade of the Betrayer was a single handed blade owned by the female Near-Human Dark Jedi Vansk, who served as a member of the Force using organization known as the Blackguard during the Galactic Civil War. Vansk did not often use the blade in combat, preferring instead to use her red bladed Lightsaber, however she carried the blade on her as a secondary weapon. The blade was taken from Vansk after her death in 1 ABY at the hands of spacers during the Blackguard Purge, in which a Sullustan Archeologist named Mi Fon Lu hired a group of spacers to kill all the Blackguard in the Southern Jedi Ruins on the planet Mustafar, as he wished to research in the area^[1].

Behind the scenesEdit

The Blade of the Betrayer first appeared in the MMORPG Star Wars Galaxies as part of the Trials of Obi-Wan expansion released in 2005. The blade was a weapon players could use, which was obtainable either as loot dropped by Vansk during the quest 'An Archaeologist's Problem' or through crafting by the player.
