The Blockade Runners Derby was a competition held by smugglers in the comet cloud around Ord Mantell. It was held annually since 69 BBY. Han Solo won three times and in 24 ABY, during its 93rd anniversary, held the title of Grand Marshal. The same year, Zekk won the derby in his ship, the Lighting Rod. There were other participants that complained when it was revealed that the winner was Force-sensitive, however Zekk had only used his innate Force abilities alone, while the other competitors had modified ships for the derby.
