Blue Man's Group was a tell-all biography written by Tik Tali Talosh about the Max Rebo Band. Talosh dreamed about auditioning for his favorite musician, Max Rebo, as a teenager.[1] A harmonica player,[3] Talosh eventually got his opportunity, and the band was so impressed by his audition that he was, from time to time, invited to perform with them at crime lord Jabba the Hutt's palace, on the planet Tatooine. The Max Rebo Band broke up after[1] 4 ABY's Battle of the Great Pit of Carkoon,[2] where Jabba was killed.[1]

After the band broke up, Talosh wrote Blue Man's Group without the Max Rebo Band members' permission. As a result, the band members cut all ties to Talosh, who would forever treasure his brief status as a Max Rebo Band member despite his disappointment.[1]

Behind the scenes[]

Blue Man's Group was mentioned in "Who's Who in the Max Rebo Band," an article Rich Handley wrote for the sixty-seventh issue of the Star Wars Insider magazine,[1] which was published on April 15, 2003.[4] The name Blue Man's Group is similar to the real-life Blue Man Group, a performing arts theater group.[5]

Because SWInsider "Who's Who in the Max Rebo Band" — Star Wars Insider 67 reveals the Max Rebo Band broke up after that event and Tik Tali Talosh wrote Blue Man's Group after the band broke up, the earliest year for the publication would be 4 ABY.
