Blue Squadron (New Republic)

Blue Squadron was a starfighter squadron that served with the New Republic Defense Fleet during the Galactic Civil War. Equipped with RZ-1 A-wing interceptors, they underwent training at Folor Base alongside Wraith Squadron, under General Edor Crespin. The squadron assisted the Wraiths in the sneak attack on the Imperial II-class Star Destroyer Implacable. The attack was a success, resulting in very few losses in Blue Squadron. The squadron piloted A-wings and was commanded by General Edor Crespin. The squadron also assisted in the retreat from Folor Base.
Then composed of T-65 X-wing starfighters, Blue Squadron was utilized to defend the evacuation of Mon Calamari cruisers from the reborn Emperor's World Devastators on Mon Calamari in 10 ABY during the battle. It was unknown how many, if any, of the pilots that were present at the Battle of Yavin or the Battle of Endor were on the roster at Mon Calamari.
In her Force visions, Alexandra Winger saw herself flying with Blue Squadron as Blue Four against the Empire. Her dreams suggested that she would be captured by the Star Destroyer Judicator while serving with the unit, probably at some point between 5 ABY and 19 ABY.
The squadron participated in the Battle of Almania in 17 ABY.
