The "BoSS code" was a complex and intricate code of conduct for starships and their crews imposed by the Bureau of Ships and Services. So complicated was the code that no organic being was capable of knowing its complete intricacies, and often droids, such as LE manifest droids, were used by starship captains to help them obey the BoSS code.
