Bob Vitas is best known as the author of the extensive and long-running Completely Unofficial Star Wars Encyclopedia.

He was responsible for naming the Hamadryas species through the What's The Story? feature of Star Wars Hyperspace, in the Cebann Veekan Databank entry. Bob Vitas is also credited in the "Author's Acknowledgements" section of Daniel Wallace's The New Essential Chronology and The New Essential Guide to Droids, and he contributed to and edited The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia. Also, the character Vob Bitas was named after Bob Vitas. He went by the alias of Bubba1227 on StarWars.com. Finally, he is known as "Bobvitas"^[1] on Wookieepedia.
