The Boba Fett motif was introduced for the first time in The Empire Strikes Back. There is a debate as to whether the first bars of the motif are reprised in Episode II. The motif consists of a simple bassoon melody based on a descending semitone phrase representing the Bounty hunter Boba Fett.
