The Bombing of Pydyr occurred in 17 ABY, when the Dark Jedi Kueller devastated the moon of Pydyr.

Kueller had seized control of the planet Almania and wanted to devastate it's wealthy neighbor, Pydyr. This was to be as a demonstration of his power and also for more practical reasons, so that he could gain it's wealth. He detonated bombs that been hidden inside droids that had been manufactured on Telti and 1,651,305 Pydyrians were killed. At the same time, a coordinated operation was led by Hantzig, who had about 1000 people imprisoned within their homes. The bombing sent out a massive disturbance in the Force, that was felt by Luke Skywalker, Leia Organa Solo, and her children, Jacen, Jaina and Anakin, and some of the students in Luke's Jedi Praxeum on Yavin 4.

Kueller had the valuables of Pydyr divided up into lots and sold off to collectors, to fund the next stage of his operation.
