In 33 BBY, the moon Sojourn was devastated by a nuclear attack that was staged by King Ars Veruna of Naboo, in an attempt to kill his rival, Dark Lord of the Sith Darth Plagueis. The attack destroyed Plagueis' residence on the moon and wiped out his entire contingent of Sun Guard mercenaries. However, Plagueis himself evaded death during the bombardment, having been forewarned of the attack by the Hutt crime lord Jabba Desilijic Tiure.
