Bomis Koori IV was the main gathering point of Corporate Alliance defensive forces on the surrounding worlds, during the Clone Wars. It belonged to a pocket of Koorivar colony worlds, responsible for the enormous production of Separatist battle droids in the Mid Rim.
As a build-up to the inevitable Battle of Bomis Koori IV, Separatist General Oro Dassyne piled on a gigantic amount of defensive guns on the fortress world, expecting a substantial Jedi attack.
When the attack came, it was slightly different from what Dassyne had expected, and, as a result of Jedi sabotage, the ray shield covering the fortifications came down, opening up the planet to extensive starfighter strikes and orbital bombardment.
