Boorka's Palace was a building on the planet Tatooine owned by the Hutt crime lord Boorka. It was located near the city Mos Osnoe and was Boorka's base of operations during the Clone Wars between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems. In 22 BBY, the first year of the war, Boorka struck a deal with the Separatists to give them secret information he possessed about the Republic in exchange for the destruction of a Republic spaceport, allowing him to profit greatly. However the Hutt was attacked by Republic forces later, who killed him and destroyed the palace.

DescriptionEdit

Boorka's Palace was a building owned by the Hutt crime lord Boorka, constructed near the city Mos Osnoe on the planet Tatooine. It was cylindrical in shape with a gray roof, with four towers placed around the building.[1]

HistoryEdit

Boorka used the palace as his base of operations during the galaxy-spanning conflict known as the Clone Wars between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems. In the year 22 BBY, in the early stages of the war, Boorka met with General Sev'rance Tann of the Separatists to discuss a deal between Boorka and the Confederacy. The Hutt had valuable information relating to the Decimator, a secret Republic superweapon which he was selling to the Separatists in exchange for the destruction of a Republic spaceport interfering with the profits of the Hutt Cartel, the organization to which Boorka belonged. When the Separatists destroyed the spaceport Boorka was able to expand his influence on Tatooine, attracting the attention of the Republic Army, under the command of Jedi General Echuu Shen-Jon, who was told of Boorka's actions by his Hutt rival, Jabba Desilijic Tiure. The Republic attacked Boorka's palace,[1] and killed the Hutt.[2]

The Republic Army also destroyed Boorka's Palace.[1]

Behind the scenesEdit

Boorka's Palace appears in the 2002 PC video game Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds: Clone Campaigns. The palace appears in two levels, the first is the third level of the Separatist campaign, "Perilous Dealings," where the player meets with Boorka at his palace. In the third level of the Republic campaign, "Never trust a Hutt," the player has the option of attacking Boorka's palace and killing him. In 2009 The Clone Wars Campaign Guide, a supplement book to the Wizards of the Coast Star Wars: Roleplaying Game Saga Edition, confirmed that Boorka's death in Clone Campaigns was canon, but did not mention if the palace was destroyed or not. The palace is also identical to Jabba's Palace, which was originally a B'omarr temple, but it is not confirmed if Boorka's Palace was built by them.
