The Brass Soldiers of Axum were thirty-five thousand warriors of solid brass. They were noted for being in positions of horror and pain. A legend stated that a pre-Republic army had been transformed into the statues by magic. The marvel was included in the list of the Twenty Wonders of the Galaxy by the historian Vicendi in his 10,000 BBY publication Arturum Galactinum.^[1]
