Brassvines were plants that grew on Haruun Kal. They got their name from the large, dull-gold thorns that grew from the vines. These thorns were almost as hard as durasteel, and were eaten by grassers. They could also be used as nails.

Once stripped of thorns, brassvines could be made into serviceable ropes, and the Korunnai often used them for this purpose.
