The Brood Totem was a device constructed by the Imperial Science Bureau in the years of the Cold War. It was developed with intended use against the insectoid Killiks of Alderaan. The machine was intended to synchronise with the creatures and when deployed it served to attract them to a site. The Sith Empire intended to use the Totem on House Organa territory in order to use the Killiks against this Alderaanian family that was allied with the Galactic Republic.
