Brotherhood of Cognizance
From Wookieepedia, the Star Wars wiki.
The Brotherhood of Cognizance was a religious monastic order of the Naboo religion during the last few centuries of the Galactic Republic. They resided in a mountain sanctuary, and were made up of approximately twenty brothers. Maxiron Agolerga, the order's Pontifex, performed the secret wedding of Anakin Skywalker and Padmé Amidala. They used to celebrate rites in holy purple garments.
The Brotherhood of Cognizance was founded many centuries before the Clone Wars. There seems to have been many brothers at the time of the colonization of Naboo, but their number grew smaller and smaller through the centuries, until they were considered as an arcane order and mostly forgotten.
The Brotherhood focused on discipline and the accumulation and study of knowledge. They were a contemplative order, worshiping art in all its forms, such as poetry, music, paintings and aesthetics.
