Buoyant was a low-gravity planet located in the Galaxy that had a variety of different terrains, including dense forests and arid wastes. Early during the world's history, an ancient species performed a number of experiments on Buoyant, which caused the planet to rotate faster. The species also brought a number of machines to Buoyant and imported various species of animal to the world. In 54 BBY, the Sith Lords Darth Plagueis and Darth Sidious traveled to Buoyant and hunted large numbers of planet's creatures, to help the pair hone their dark side abilities.
