The Bureau of Operations, or simply known as the Bureau, handled important covert operations that were beyond the standard operating scope of local resources. It had a variety of responsibilities, including monitoring enemy activity, industrial and commercial surveillance, diplomacy issues, and occasionally the destabilization of given entities and implementation of assassinations.[1]
