The C-25 fragmentation grenade was a fragmentation grenade manufactured by Merr-Sonn Munitions, Inc.. It consisted of a sphere of baradium-impregnated detonite encased in a conductive shell, which was itself housed within a cylinder that was activated with a twist.[1] To trigger an explosion, the C-25's user had to turn the cylindrical part of the grenade, which gave them a couple of seconds to move away before it exploded.[3] The C-25 fragmentation grenade was visually very similar to the Sonic Imploder.[4]
The C-25 was used by the Galactic Empire's death troopers and coastal defender stormtroopers. During the Battle of Scarif, rebels Bodhi Rook and Baze Malbus were both killed by C-25 fragmentation grenades.[2]
Behind the scenes[]
The C-25 is similar to the C-22 fragmentation grenade from the Star Wars Legends continuity.
