C-beam
C-beams were bright lights that some vehicles emitted. Manufacturers of C-beam lamps included Gelieg and the Rytell Corporation.
Behind the scenes

The term "C-beam" is also used in the 1982 Ridley Scott film Blade Runner, in which a character refers to C-beams. The "Rytell Corporation" is also an anagram of the "Tyrell Corporation", which also features heavily in the film.
