C3-L1 was a protocol droid. It was owned by the Wookiee Busurra who was an assistant to Loom Carplin, the Chief of Staff for the Alliance to Restore the Republic forces in Atrivis sector. As many Humans had difficulty understanding Busurra, C3-L1 was a constant companion to the Wookiee, translating his words.
