CC-7567, also known as Rex, was an ARC trooper captain during the Clone Wars, during which he was in command of the 501st Legion. Rex and his men were assigned to patrol the sectors of the galaxy within the Outer Rim. Anakin Skywalker's second in command during the Clone Wars, Captain Rex was a freethinking and aggressive clone trooper. Rex voiced his professional opinion to even the highest-ranking Jedi. Rex was known to have fought on Tatooine and been in a battle on another planet against the CIS with Commander Cody, Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi.^[2]

Rex's armor consisted of the color and design that the entire 501st legion had in 19 BBY, though the armor itself was still Phase I armor. He also wore a kama and pauldron, and his helmet displayed Jaig eyes. He carried twin blaster pistols but also utilized the more standard blaster rifles. When required, Rex could also be seen using jetpacks.

Captain Rex was revealed as part of a promotion for the upcoming toyline based on the new 3-D series Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Fans can purchase four figures and mail away for a Captain Rex figure.^[3] In a recent Q and A with Hasbro, they revealed that he will be a "central figure" in The Clone Wars series.^[4]
