A CIS Officer was a soldier who held an officer's rank in the armed forces and was neither a droid or a Dark Acolyte. One well-known example of a CIS Officer was Commander Vulpus.^[1]

The Mandalorian Ghez Hokan was given the rank of Major in the CIS and commanded the garrison on Qiilura, which included Lieutenant Pir Cuvin and Second Lieutenant Hurati, who was later promoted by Hokan to Captain.^[2]

During the War, Phindian Osi Sobeck became a Commander on the side of the Confederacy and was placed in charge of the Separatist Prison The Citadel.
