The CY-M Prototype was a battle droid that was part of HK-47's droid army. It was similar in appearance to a Chirq Council Mechanized Guardian and was armed with a red-bladed lightsaber.
History[]
One such unit was destroyed on Mustafar in 1 ABY by a group of spacers proceeding to destroy HK-47. Another recovered by Andal Sait's troops and delivered to his Star Destroyer, the Blackguard, as part of Grand Admiral's collection. Sait organized a ceremony to present to various officers and dignitaries his newest acquisition. However, unknown to all the guests, a group of undercover slicers aboard the Star Destroyer altered the programming of the droid. The CY-M, armed with a large vibro-axe, jumped into the crowd and started swinging its weapon in a deadly move. However, the droid was soon pushed into a nearby airlock, which was immediately opened into space.[1]
Some of these droids were also known to have carried CY-M ink rifles, CY-M carbines and CY-M swords.
