The Calamasthon Defiance was a group with whom the Draag criminal Slaag Lado had ties. In 32 BBY, Lado was wanted by the Mon Calamari Civil Authority for allegedly creating a huge seismic attack that led to immense environmental damage in the Salinrerian Sea and resulted in constant rain on the site. In the bounty posted for Lado, the Civil Authority noted the Draag's ties to the Calamasthon Defiance.^[1]

The video game Star Wars: Bounty Hunter, released by LucasArts in 2002, mentions the Calamasthon Defiance in its bounty information for Slaag Lado, a character who appears in the game's second level.^[1] The information from Lado's entry is repeated in Bounty Hunter: Prima's Official Strategy Guide, published in 2002.
