Can Lar was a Gathi who worked for CoMar Weapons. While there he designed the v-150 anti-orbital ion cannon; however, CoMar rejected it, stating that it was useless and impossible to build. Lar quit CoMar and was hired by Kuat Drive Yards, who produced his design.
