Capella was a mining world located in the Capella system. It was situated in the Back Reach area of the Gordian Reach sector within the Trans-Hydian portion of the Outer Rim Territories. Capella was linked via hyperlane to the Arda and Little Capella systems.[1] It was the origin point of Capellan turg-roots.[2][3] Mining operations there were mostly carried out by droids and robominers manufactured by the inhabitants of the Arda system.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
Capella was introduced in the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas, authored by Daniel Wallace and Jason Fry, which placed it in grid square Q-6.[1]

(backup link) Jason Fry, co-author of The Essential Atlas, stated his intention to create homeworlds for numerous species based on context implied from their names. Given this principle, this article makes a similar basic assumption for Capellan turg-root in relation to the Capella system and specifically Capella.
