The Carida system, also Caridan system, was home to the planet of Carida. The system was destroyed after Kyp Durron launched a resonance torpedo at the sun from the superweapon Sun Crusher. Nova Station was later built there. As of 40 ABY, the system was known as the Carida Nebula. The area was defined by its reddish glow, which was essentially the frozen blood from billions of perished Caridans.
